Indians recall Hagadone, option Lowe

Before Wednesday's game the Indians recalled pitcher Nick Hagadone and optioned Mark Lowe.

This is Hagadone's third stint with the Tribe this year. going 1-0 with a 7.71 ERA in five outings (2 1/3 innings pitched, four hits, two runs, two walks, four strikeouts).

Lowe is 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA in seven appearances this year.

Josh Outman has also accepted an outright assignment to Columbus after clearing waivers and will report to the team on Saturday. The left-hander, who was designated for assignment on June 18, made 31 appearances for Cleveland and is 4-0 with a 3.28 ERA. Terry Francona said last week that the reason why they made the move with Outman was because his role had changed with Kyle Crockett being called up.
