DETROIT — Never underestimate the power of Prince Fielder.

The first baseman hit two home runs in the Tigers' home-opening 8-3 win over the New York Yankees Friday afternoon.

The first home run, off left-handed reliever Boone Logan, plunked a fan in the front row of the right-field seats.

The knockdown homer, a three-run shot, gave the Tigers a 5-3 lead in the fifth. Fielder's second blast, a two-run job off of reliever Shawn Kelley, occurred in the seventh for an 8-3 lead.

Here's a video of the fan getting plunked on homer No. 1.
