How the Badgers ran and passed: Game 4 vs. Hawaii
Time for this week's look at the directions and success of Wisconsin's run game, as well as the targets thrown to by Badgers quarterbacks.
In Wisconsin's fourth game, Joel Stave's passing targets weren't as spread out as they have been in the past. Also, while the Badgers continue to like running inside, against Hawaii they really liked carrying the ball to the left and up the middle.
For you Bart Houston fans, note that he threw two passes this week: incomplete to George Rushing and complete to Jordan Fredrick. If he throws more this season, we'll start including Houston's season targets, as well.
For those new to this feature, I re-watch the game and chart each play, but don't track QB runs as they might be unplanned (i.e. scrambles) and/or sacks. Generally speaking, a run middle is over where the center lined up, inside is over where the guard lined up, outside the tackle or just beyond and wide is usually a reverse, end around, etc.

LI = left inside; LO= left outside; LW = left wide (i.e. end around); MID = middle; RI = right inside; RO = right outside; RW = right wide; INT = intended receiver on an interception; LOST/PEN = a complete pass nullified by an offensive penalty; INC/PEN = An incomplete pass nullified by a penalty
