SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) Hot Stones moved in front midway through the backstretch and pulled away to a 9 1/4-length victory over fellow New York-breds in the $100,000 Saratoga Dew on Monday at Saratoga Race Course.

Breaking from the far outside post in a field of 10, Hot Stones chased 7-5 favorite Carameaway through a quarter-mile in 23.79 seconds before assuming the lead and cruising to her second straight win and first stakes victory since the Grade 3 Bed o'Roses last June.

Ridden by Hall of Famer John Velazquez for trainer Bruce Levine, Hot Stones ran 1 1/8 miles in 1:49.87 over a fast main track and returned $7.10, $5 and $3.70. Star Grazing won the battle for second, a nose ahead of Flipcup, with Smitten by Gold another half-length back.

Star Grazing paid $8.20 and $5.20 and Smitten by Gold returned $5.
