Heaven's Runway takes off in Big A's Fall Highweight 'Cap
NEW YORK (AP) Heaven's Runway rallied past odd-on favorite Stallwalkin' Dude for a 32-1 upset Thursday in the $200,000 Fall Highweight Handicap at Aqueduct.
The 6-year-old trained by Rudy Rodriguez and ridden by Junior Alvarado surged in deep stretch for a neck victory over the 4-5 choice.
Heaven's Runway got his first win in nine starts this season, his sixth in 41 races overall.
The time was 1:10.19 for the six furlongs.
Heaven's Runway paid $66.50, $16.20 and $9.30.
Stallwalkin' Dude returned $2.80 and $2.20, and Ready for Rye paid $3.50 to show.
In earlier stakes results, Catapult, the 3-2 favorite, beat Strike Midnight by 1 lengths in the $125,000 Gio Ponte for 3-year-olds on the turf.
Jockey Javier Castelllano and trainer Chad Brown teamed to guide the colt to his third win in six starts. He paid $5.10 to win.

Irad Ortiz, Jr. was aboard for trainer Edward Barker as Yorkiepoo Princess got her second win in five races. She paid $9.20 to win.
