The Pistons might have been looking in the wrong place for a scoring option. It turns out that Tigers center fielder Austin Jackson's jumping ability is good for more than bringing home runs back into the stadium.

Teammate Torii Hunter posted a video to Instagram Tuesday that shows Jackson in an empty gym, dribbling down the lane and throwing down a nasty one-handed dunk.

"I did this when I was younger but there was no video or cell phones then," Hunter said in the video's caption, hashtagging it with #straightathlete, #madhops and #nohomerunsaresafe.

Justin Verlander's brother Ben, a Tigers minor leaguer, tweeted that his brother can't quite match Jackson's moves.

"Justin tried once in a HS game. Got rejected. He'll say it was a 'foul'," the younger Verlander said.
