Hawks' Millsap to miss two games with knee contusion
ATLANTA -- The injury-riddled Hawks will incur more holes in their frontcourt this week, with All-Star forward Paul Millsap slated to miss the next two games with a (right) knee contusion.
Millsap, who will sit Atlanta's Tuesday home tilt with Chicago and a Wednesday road date with Boston, joins centers Pero Antic (ankle) and Gustavo Ayon (shoulder) on the short-term injury list. And don't forget about forward Al Horford, who suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in December.
The Hawks (26-29 overall, 2-8 in February) are set to embark on one of their toughest stretches of the season -- seven games in 13 days, with the last six coming on the road (Boston, Phoenix, Portland, Golden State, Los Angeles Clippers, Utah).
If the postseason started today ... Atlanta would hold the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
