Grand Rapids preps Hockey Day rink

The NHL schedule has yet to be finalized, but one date that should be on the minds of all State of Hockey residents is Saturday, Jan. 19: Hockey Day Minnesota.

With less than two weeks until pucks drop, Pokegama Lake in Grand Rapids has begun construction on the outdoor rink where the three Wells Fargo Hockey Day Minnesota high school games will be played. Along with the prep games, the Minnesota Gophers will take on North Dakota at Mariucci arena.
