The Broncos had a bye in Week 10, but that doesn’t mean that everyone was a sitting around. In fact, defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio had a job interview.
Jay Glazer reports that USC athletic director Pat Haden flew to Denver and interviewed Del Rio for the Trojans’ head-coaching job. The interview went down just one day before Broncos head coach John Fox discovered he needed heart surgery. Del Rio was soon named the team’s interim head coach.
