LONDON - On Sunday, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett will do something that only two other head coaches have done in team history: coach against all existing NFL teams.
In 1977, Tom Landry led his team to a 23-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Texas Stadium. There were no more teams added to the NFL until 1995.
By the time Bill Parcells came along in the mid-2000's, the NFL added Carolina, Jacksonville, Baltimore, and Houston. Parcells' 32nd team was Indianapolis, and the 5-4 Cowboys beat the 9-0 Colts 21-14 in 2006.
When made aware of the impending feat, Garrett only smiled and delivered a typical Garrett-ism.
"I didn't know that, and we're certainly getting ready for the challenge this week."
Landry and Parcells had home field advantage, while Garrett is facing the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. That is one of many challenges Garrett has going against his 32nd and final NFL team.
