PHOENIX (AP) -- Forward Channing Frye said Sunday that he will be back with the Phoenix Suns in training camp after sitting out last season with heart-related issues.

Frye made the announcement via Twitter, saying he is "happy to be healthy and have an opportunity" to keep playing.

Frye then clarified that by "next season," he was referring to the upcoming one.

While Frye claims that he has been cleared medically by several doctors, the Suns have not officially said he will be back. The team's media day is Monday, at which time some clarification could be provided. Afterwards, the Suns head to Flagstaff for a five-day training camp.

Frye has said that a virus caused his heart to enlarge and that the recovery process was a slow one.
