1. (1) Mater Dei (8-0) (vs. Servite, at Angel Stadium, Friday, 7p, Prep Zone)

The Monarchs showed a lot of heart in their come-from-behind win over St. John Bosco. It was a physical game and with the passing game struggling, the Monarchs went old school in the fourth quarter and relied on a power run game plus big plays by the St. Brown brothers, Osiris and Amon-Ra, to pull this one out.

2. (2) Corona Centennial (7-1) (at Norco, Friday, 7:30p, FOX Sports West)

The Huskies had no trouble with Centennial rolling to an easy 64-14 win. Miles Reed had three more touchdowns and has 23 on the year and over 1,400 yards rushing.

3. (4) Mission Viejo (9-0)

The Diablos had their second shutout in the last three weeks with a 68-0 win over Trabuco Hills. Matt McDonald had another huge game competing 8-of-10 passes for 197 yards and four touchdowns. He has 28 touchdowns on the season while completing almost 64 percent of his passes.

4. (3) St. John Bosco (6-2)

The Braves lost a heartbreaker against Mater Dei in a game they looked to be in control until midway in the fourth quarter. The Braves pressured Monarch QB J.T Daniels all night and were able to run the ball effectively early on. Some key dropped passes and allowing a punt return for a TD early in the second half were backbreakers.

5. (5) Rancho Cucamonga (8-0)

The Cougars blew out Etiwanda 52-10 led by a big game from quarterback Nick Acosta, who was 15-of-17 for 289 yards and five touchdowns.

6. (6) Serra (6-3)

The Cavs continue to get better every week, blowing out Crespi 33-7, for their sixth win in a row. Serra held Crespi to just 94 yards of total offense in this one.

7. (7) La Mirada (7-2)

The Matadores put up 70 on an overmatched Glenn team. Quarterback Tristan Meyer threw five more touchdowns and has 26 on the year with just one interception.

8. (8) Calabasas (8-0)

We expected an offensive shootout when the Coyotes took on Newbury Park but a first-quarter injury to star quarterback Cameron Rising put a halt to that. Calabasas rolled to an easy 40-7 win and quarterback Tristan Gebbia became the eighth QB in state history to go over 10,000 yards and 100 career touchdowns.

9. (9) Long Beach Poly (5-2) (vs. IMG Academy, Friday, 7p, Prep Zone)

The Jackrabbits did it again, putting up over 70 points for the fourth game in a row. The competition will get much tougher this weekend when the Jackrabbits take on national power Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy.

10. (10) Murrieta Valley (6-2)

The Nighthawks put up 62 points against Temecula Valley over the weekend. Star junior quarterback Hank Bachmeier threw just nine passes but completed eight of them for 222 yards and three touchdowns.
