FOX Sports Florida scheduled to air 81 Florida Panthers games in 2016-17
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- FOX Sports Florida and the Florida Panthers jointly announced the team's 2016-17 NHL regular season television schedule, featuring 81 games broadcast on the network.
FOX Sports Florida will start the season in Sunrise as the Panthers host the New Jersey Devils at The BB&T Center. Coverage will start at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13 with a special, one-hour edition of the Panthers LIVE pregame show. Play-by-play announcer Steve "Goldie" Goldstein returns alongside color analyst Denis Potvin to provide viewers with expert commentary throughout the season. Panthers LIVE host Craig Minervini will be joined throughout the season by analyst Randy Moller during pregame, postgame and intermission, while Jessica Blaylock returns as reporter.
Of the Panthers' complete 82-game schedule, FOX Sports Florida will not be able to televise one game due to national television exclusivity. An additional preseason game on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. will be televised on the network when the Panthers face the New Jersey Devils at the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y.
