Former Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier's Transfer Tour has landed him in South Beach.

Forcier announced on Wednesday that he will be transferring from the University of Michigan to the University of Miami.

Before choosing the Hurricanes, Forcier reportedly was also looking at Kansas State, Arizona, Washington and Montana as possible options.

"Miami had the best opportunity," Forcier told ESPN. "There is so much
positive energy around this program and I really want to be apart of it.
I love these coaches an feel like they are the right guys for me. I had
a great visit and I really want to be a part of the rebirth at Miami."

Forcier appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated after leading the Wolverines to an early-season victory over Notre Dame in 2009. He went on to start all 12 games in his first year before losing the job last season to Denard Robinson.

After appearing in eight games as a reserve in 2010, he became academically ineligible and missed the bowl game. He didn't return to Ann Arbor for this semester.

Forcier announced shortly after midnight on Jan. 20 that he wasn't returning to Michigan on his family's twitter account, "QBForce." There have been no new posts to the account since his last one read, "Tate Forcier #5 - A Michigan Man Forever - Go Blue."
