Former Dolphins LB lays into the city of Cleveland

Retired former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder has never been shy about speaking his mind.

So after TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley articulated that Cleveland, not Miami, has "real fans" in discussing LeBron James' potential free agency, Crowder went off on the city of Cleveland during the radio show he co-hosts on WQAM in Miami Thursday.

"Don't badmouth Miami but sell Cleveland," Crowder said. "You can sell some towns. Don't sell nasty, dirty, ugly, little Cleveland."

Not one, not two, not three but four adjectives to put down the city. He didn't stop there, further going on to deride the women of Cleveland.

"I would rather stare at myself in the mirror then look at the women in Cleveland," Crowder said. "When you go to the game on Sunday, you look up in the crowd and you say 'oh there's all men at the game.' Then you start looking closer and you say 'damn I can't tell the difference between the women and the men at Cleveland Browns games.' It is ridiculous."

As if all that wasn't enough, he coined his own phrase for Cleveland -- "the anus of America."

"They call Jersey the armpit of America? Cleveland's the anus of America, it's the booty... and the little fans are little hemorrhoids all around the edge," Crowder opined.

Quite the imagery there.

This isn't all that surprising coming from Crowder, a guy who once said London Fletcher was the closest thing he knew to London (England) and engaged in a feud with New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan, in which he said he would have "beat the hell out of" a younger Ryan.

Crowder certainly knows how to get a rise out of people and he continued spewing vitriol toward Cleveland on another medium Friday morning.
