Floyd Mayweather paying private chef $1,000 per meal every day until Pacquiao fight
Floyd "Money" Mayweather certainly knows hows to make dough but he's not exactly frugal. At least he's willing to shell out big bucks for quality nutrition (when he's not posting about his million-dollar sports bets), and that's what he sees in the culinary works of "Chef Q," who Mayweather will apparently be paying $1,000 per meal to cook for him ahead of his May 2 showdown with Manny Pacquiao.
"My daily schedule for Floyd is 'There is no schedule,'" Chef Q, real name Quiana Jeffries, told TMZ Sports. "I am here for him any time. 24 hours, 7 days a week. If he needs me at 3 a.m., I am there cooking up breakfast."
Watch Chef Q in action as Mayweather proclaims his love for her culinary abilities:
The California-born Chef Q previously served as executive chef at Soul Dog in North Hollywood, California and now she's now affiliated with caterer Chefism, according to her Facebook profile. Her Instagram page identifies her as "The Chef that's Beastin in Floyd Mayweather's Kitchen."
She's making everything for Mayweather from scratch -- quite a contrast from some of his usual fare, which has included a lot of soda, fast food and candy.
"Also, we are really big on juicing right now," Chef Q said. "So if Floyd wants something to drink, it's juiced through organic fruits."
"He's always been mindful of what he eats but there is something different about this fight," the chef said.
For one, the money is different. Mayweather has hauled in some very large checks for previous bouts but he's due to earn something in the ballpark of $120 million for the long overdue Pacquiao meeting.
