Floyd Mayweather: 'Dirty' Marcos Maidana should 'move over to MMA'

Floyd Mayweather is either a sizable troll or not a very big fan of mixed martial arts. Probably both.

The ridiculously rich boxing champion ripped Marcos Maidana, his opponent Saturday night, accusing him of biting Mayweather's glove during their bout in Las Vegas. We don't know how someone wearing a mouthguard could bite a boxing glove hard enough to actually cause pain to a finger, but whatever. Somehow "Money" turned that into a statement against MMA.

"I think he needs to move over to MMA," Mayweather told reporters after the fight (h/t MMA Mania). "It is extremely dirty."

Mayweather, of course, bested Maidana in a relatively uneventful (except for the bite) 12-round unanimous decision. The controversial star, who has been convicted and accused multiple times of domestic abuse offenses, reportedly made $32 million for the contest, and that doesn't include his pay-per-view cut.

All he wanted to talk about afterward, though, was Maidana's tactics. Funny stuff from a guy who knocked out Victor Ortiz while Ortiz was trying to apologize after an intentional headbutt.

"He's just a rugged guy," Mayweather said of Maidana. "Rugged, dirty fighter. That's Maidana. That's how he fights. I was like, 'Man, this dude continues to fight dirty.' My finger is busted. This is the finger he bit through the glove, it busted open. I checked with the doctors in the back after the fight, they said everything is OK. I just can't believe this guy bit me."

Mayweather also recently mistook (?) UFC women's champion Ronda Rousey for a man, a statement for which he apologized. Oh, and "Money" defended NFL star Ray Rice last week after video showed Rice knocking out his wife with a punch.

Classy guy.
