Five-star recruit Adams center of attention

With Montravius Adams sitting in the stands of Littlejohn Coliseum,
attending a Clemson basketball game with the school's football coach,
Dabo Swinney, the shirt reading, "Media Favorite" was rather fitting.

All eyes were on him. They have been for a good portion of the five-star defensive tackle's recruiting process.

Adams,
along with the rest of the top recruits nationwide, received the
attention-grabbing shirt at the Under Armoyr All-American game in St.
Petersburg, Fla., and took an immediate liking to it. He likes bright
colors. Things just worked out that way.

At this point, though,
it should come as little surprise to Adams, an uncommitted recruit who
was a recent guest on Fox Sports South's Next Class show, that the words
"Media Favorite" written across his attire would cause a minor stir
with the, well, media. Recruiting is the lifeblood of college football,
and it never seems like fans and pundits can get enough.

"Everybody
at the game was talking about it," said the Vienna, Ga., native.
"People started texting my phone that night telling me that they'd seen
it."

The 6-foot-3, 300-pound prospect says he doesn't mind the
spotlight that stems from being a highly-touted recruit without a
commitment to his name this late in the process, which is for the best
with programs around the United States vying for his services. He's
whittled his list down to Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn and Clemson.
He calls Southern Cal his "question mark," but also his dream school.

Adams
is listed as the third-best recruit at his position and the 11th-best
recruit overall, according to Scout. He is one of 14 uncommitted
five-star recruits nationally.

Signing Day for college football prospects is Feb. 6.
