SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Fatuma Sado of Ethiopia has won the Los
Angeles Marathon women's race, breaking her personal best by more than 2

the prize given to the first runner, male or female, to finish.
Her previous best time was 2:28:01 last year in Istanbul. She previously won in Hamburg in her marathon debut.
