Farah to race both 5,000 & 10,000 in Glasgow
LONDON (AP) Double Olympic and world champion Mo Farah has been entered to race in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next month.
Farah is named for both distances in England's athletics squad of 129 which was released on Monday.
He is looking to become the first athlete to complete the full set of Olympic, world, European and Commonwealth 5,000 and 10,000 titles.
Farah withdrew from the 2010 games in New Delhi because of fatigue, and finished ninth in the 5,000 in Melbourne four years earlier.
Olympic long jump champion Greg Rutherford and emerging heptathlon star Katerina Johnson-Thompson are among other medal favorites.
Chef de mission Jan Paterson says, ''Athletics is our largest squad and I am delighted by the caliber of athletes.''
