A look at the latest happenings around the East Region: 

 

 Rutgers landed a commitment from one of its top offensive line targets in Metuchen (N.J.) St. Joseph's Nick Krimin. He made the decision during a visit to campus. 

 The hottest prospect in New England is West Hartford (N.J.) Kingswood-Oxford linebacker Koby Quansah, who is the No. 1 player in Connecticut. He picked up offers from Vanderbilt and Michigan, where he is set to visit Feb. 24.

 In the span of three days, Rutgers hosted four-star quarterback Dwayne Haskins of Potomac (Md.) The Bullis School and Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic four-star quarterback Jarrett Guarantano.   

 

 Four-star cornerback Jordan Fuller of Northern Valley (N.J.) Old Tappan will visit Rutgers on Thursday, Maryland on Friday, and he also wants to see Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Duke and Stanford. Fuller picked up an offer from Stanford during the week.   

 

 Philadelphia Imhotep four-star tight end Naseir Upshur continued to load up on the offers as Alabama extended one. The Crimson Tide also offered Hermitage (Pa.) Hickory safety Andrew Pryts.   

 Four-star tight end Cary Angeline of Exton (Pa.) Downingtown East was offered by Notre Dame during a two-day visit to camps. He is planning trips to Duke and Virginia Tech in the coming weeks.   

 Camden (N.J.) High defensive end Ron Johnson's offer list continues to grow. Ole Miss was the latest to offer Johnson.   

 Potomac (Md.) Oxon Hill cornerback Greg Ross picked up his second Power 5 offer when Wisconsin extended one. Virginia Tech did so previously. The Badgers also offered Washington (D.C.) St. John's College defensive end Terrell Hall.   

Wisconsin also offered The Bullis School outside linebacker Cameron Brown and Owings Mills (Md.) Mc Donogh cornerback Eric Burrell.   

 Gaithersburg (Md.) Avalon receiver Trevon Diggs, the younger of Stefon Diggs, picked up an offer from Miami.   

 Four-star offensive tackle Michal Menet of Reading (Pa.) Exeter added to his impressive offer list with one from Auburn.   

 

 Boston College offered Washington (D.C.) HD Woodson running back Abdul Adams and Camden (N.J.) High four-star cornerback/receiver Brad Hawkins.   

 

 New Canaan (Conn.) St. Luke's tight end prospect Jacob Morgenstern was offered by Syracuse. He also holds offers from Boston College, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Temple and Yale, and will visit Princeton. He said selecting an Ivy League school is an option.   

 

 Devon Hunter has been a highly sought-after prospect since his freshman season. Now, the 2017 Chesapeake (Va.) Indian River safety has over 20 scholarship offers. In the past week, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan all offered. He will visit NC State this weekend. 

 

 Grant Holloway has double digit offers. Some of his most recent were Ole Miss, Penn State, NC State and Wake Forest. The 2016 Chesapeake (Va.) Grassfield wide receiver is also standout sprinter in track and hopes to play both at the collegiate level. 

 

 Jay-Jay McCargo picked up offers 15 and 16 on Tuesday from Auburn and Illinois. The 2016 Arlington (Va.) Bishop O'Connell offensive lineman will visit Maryland this weekend.
