Dolphins' new WR happy not to be selected by Browns
Miami Dolphins' first round draft pick DeVante Parker was taken with the 14th pick in the draft. One of the 13 teams that passed on taking the Louisville wide receiver was the Cleveland Browns.
If you ask DeVante's mom, that's just fine with her.
According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, Raneca Parker didn't want her son going to the Cleveland Browns.
"We didn't want him going to Cleveland," Raneca Parker told the Miami Herald. "They don't have a team, really, or a quarterback. I knew I didn't want the Cleveland Browns."
The Parkers were pleased that DeVante will be playing in Florida, saying they love the weather.
DeVante played for Louisville and was considered a possibility for the Browns with the 12th pick, but instead Cleveland selected Washington NT Danny Shelton.
