NEW YORK (AP) Distorted Beauty rallied from last to easily win the $80,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares Friday on the turf at Belmont Park.
The early trailer in the six-horse field, Distorted Beauty and jockey Angel Cruz swung five-wide turning for home. The 4-year-old chestnut trained by Bruce Levine was full of run, drawing off to a four-length victory over Persnickity.
Distorted Beauty, making her season debut, improved to 5 for 9 overall. She is 3 for 4 on the grass at Belmont.
The 8-5 favorite paid $5.30, $4.20 and $3.20.
Persnickity returned $13 and $5.70, and Pedal Princess paid $3.90 to show.
