
Diamondbacks to host Fan Fest from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Chase Field
PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks will host the 11th annual Subway D-backs Fan Fest from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, at Chase Field. This year's free event will feature question-and-answer sessions with D-backs players and a special musical performance by D-backs players Bronson Arroyo, Aaron Hill, A.J. Pollock and Mark Trumbo.
FOX Sports Arizona will be on hand to conduct auditions for 2015 Sanderson Ford Kidkaster opportunities.
More than 25,000 fans attended last year's event, and the Diamondbacks have expanded the menu of activities for this year, including:
--D-backs home clubhouse tours.
--The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation yard sale.
--Wiffle-ball fields featuring D-backs players, coaches and staff from the D-backs Baseball Academy.
--A Family Fun Zone featuring speed pitch, T-ball and interactive inflatables.
--A kids' activity area featuring face paiting, airbrush tattoos and balloon artists.
--Tryout information for national anthem singers, the Rally-backs, Golden Glovers and D-backs Legends racers.
--D-backs Race Against Cancer registration.
--Goldy Bleacher Creature sales to benefit Goldy's Fund 4 Kids.
--D-backs Team Shop merchandise sales.
--A sports card and memorabilia show.
--@Dbacks social media zone.
--Live music by The Walkens.
--Subway cash cards, loaded with amounts ranging from $1 to $100, to the first 3,000 fans.
More than 40 Diamondbacks players are scheduled to attend, as well as new manager Chip Hale and his coaching staff, chief baseball officer Tony La Russa, general manager Dave Stewart, President & CEO Derrick Hall, former players Luis Gonzalez and J.J. Putz and FOX Sports Arizona's broadcast team of Steve Berthiaume and Bob Brenly.
The Subway Fan Fest stage will feature six different sessions:
12:10 p.m. -- J.J. Putz with Paul Goldschmidt, Aaron Hill and A.J. Pollock.
12:30 p.m. -- Rodrigo Lopez and Oscar Soria in Spanish with Yasmany Tomas, David Peralta and Ender Inciarte.
1:10 p.m. -- Steve Berthiaume with Jeremy Hellickson, Allen Webster and Robbie Ray.
1:25 p.m. -- Berthiaume and Josh Collmenter with minor-league pitchers Archie Bradley, Braden Shipley and Aaron Blair.
1:50 p.m. -- A musical performance by Bronson Arroyo, Hill, Pollock, and Mark Trumbo.
2:30 p.m. -- Radio announcer Greg Schulte with Derrick Hall, Tony La Russa, Chip Hale and Dave Stewart.
Autograph session vouchers are $5, with proceeds benefiting the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. There will also be an area in right field for kids ages 12 and under to receive free autographs from players, coaches and broadcasters.
