Defenseman Jonathan Racine re-signs with the Florida Panthers

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have re-signed defenseman Jonathan Racine to a one-year, two-way contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 23-year old Racine recorded nine points (1-8-9) in 69 games during the 2015-16 season with the Portland Pirates (AHL) and he also played in five postseason games with Portland. His nine points during the regular season marked an AHL career-high.

The 6-foot-2, 202-pound native of Montreal, Quebec has played in one career NHL game with Florida and has played in 198 career AHL games recording 22 points (1-21-22). Racine was selected by Florida in the third round (87th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
