Detroit Red Wings center and leading point-getter Pavel Datsyuk will not be in the lineup tonight as they battle the New York Islanders. His absense, as reported by John Keating of FOX Sports Detroit via Twitter, is due to a groin injury.

Datsyuk scored the game-winning overtime goal against Chicago on Sunday.

With 13 goals and 30 assists, Datsyuk is listed as day-to-day. Red Wings GM Ken Holland told the Detroit Free Press that the injury is not serious.

It was also announced that Ty Conklin will start his second straight game.
