Dale Jr., others in NASCAR mesmerized by Stephen Curry
As the Golden State Warriors, led by Stephen Curry, prepare to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, several members of the NASCAR community are paying close attention.
Curry, the 2015 league MVP, grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and was a basketball standout at Davidson College, located just 20 minutes north of Charlotte -- the place that the vast majority of NASCAR drivers and team members call home.
Stephen's father, Dell, spent the majority of his lengthy NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets, becoming one of the franchise's all-time statistical leaders in multiple categories.
It's no wonder, then, that the NASCAR world is closely monitoring the progress of Stephen Curry, whose head-turning, 37-point performance in Game 5 of the Finals moved the Warriors within just one win of their first NBA title in 40 years.
Check out a few tweets from NASCAR drivers and others talking about Curry:
Steph Curry is so much fun to watch. I feel like I owe @warriors a check for the price of admission tonight. Wow
