D-backs trade Allen Webster to Pirates for cash considerations

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have traded right-handed pitcher Allen Webster to the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations.

Webster, 25, was 1-1 with a 5.81 ERA in nine games (five starts) with the D-backs in 2015 and went 4-6 with an 8.18 ERA in 15 starts for Triple-A Reno. He was designated for assignment on Nov. 20.

Webster was acquired from the Boston Red Sox last off-season along with Rubby De La Rosa in a trade for Wade Miley.
