Coyotes sign goalie Lee to entry-level deal

The Phoenix Coyotes signed goaltender Mike Lee to a three-year, entry-level contract on Thursday. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lee was selected by the Coyotes in the third round (91st overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder posted an 8-6-2 record with a 2.23 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage with St. Cloud State in 16 games this past season. The 21-year-old native of Roseau, Minn., appeared in 74 games in his three-year college career, posting a record of 32-29-9 with a 2.59 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.

Lee led Team USA to the gold-medal game at the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship in Saskatoon, Sask., posting a perfect 4-0 record with a 2.50 GAA and a .908 save percentage in five games.
