Cowboys RB Murray looks ready to return to action
IRVING, Texas – Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray was a full participant in Wednesday's practice and appears ready to return to game action Sunday.
"I don't know if I can put a percentage on it, but I'm feeling better," said Murray, who suffered a sprained MCL against Washington. "I feel like I can contribute at a high level and help this team win."
Murray felt like he could play last week at Detroit, but coach Jason Garrett decided to rest him one more week. Murray also sat out the game at Philadelphia.
Murray said he "felt good" after Wednesday's full-pads practice but, was hesitant to declare that he would play after last week's decision.
"We've got to see," Murray said. "I was preparing and worked last week as if I was going. I'm going to do the same thing this week. I'm feeling better, so we'll see."
Defensive end DeMarcus Ware, who was injured in the same game as Murray, sat out practice. Ware has missed the last two games with a thigh injury.
Cornerback Morris Claiborne (hamstring), safety Danny McCray (hip/toe) and safety J.J. Wilcox (knee) did not practice Wednesday. Safety Barry Church (hamstring) was a limited participant.
