Cowboys LB Lee earns NFC Defensive Player of the Week
The accolades for Sean Lee are beginning to accumulate. The Cowboys linebacker won his second NFC Defensive Player of the Week award for his performance against the Eagles last Sunday.
Lee led the Cowboys with 11 tackles and had one tackle for loss, a pass breakup and an interception he returned for 33 yard. The interception helped seal the Cowboys’ win.
Lee was also named Player of the Week in December 2010 for his performance against the Colts. The last Cowboys player to win the award was Brandon Carr for the Pittsburgh game last season.
Lee is the third Cowboy to win a weekly award this season. Dwayne Harris has won the Special Teams Player of the Week award twice, in Week 1 against the Giants and Week 6 against the Redskins.
