Cowboy cornerbacks Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins left the team's game with the Giants on Sunday with injuries.

Newman was hurt on the second play of the game while trying to cover Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks and limped off the field immediately after the whistle was blown. He returned to the field late in the second quarter.

Newman's return came just moments before Dallas lost its other starting corner in Jenkins. The third-year pro has been diagnosed with a neck strain and there will not return.

Rookie Bryan McCann replaced him in the lineup and several plays later set a franchise record with a 101-yard interception return for a touchdown.
