Corey Perry sucker punches Dan Boyle
Despite a promising season that's seen a 12-game point streak, 13-game home winning streak and gritty win over the Chicago Blackhawks last week, things have unraveled quickly for the Anaheim Ducks.
On Monday, after dropping their third straight at home against the Sharks, defenseman Sheldon Souray insisted the team needed to get more physical.
Corey Perry apparently agrees.
Down 3-0 in the third period, the Sharks broke away on an odd-man rush. Perry landed a sucker-punch in the form of a right hook on Dan Boyle in an attempt to disrupt the attack, but the Sharks scored anyway to take a 4-0 lead.
Moments later, Perry and Boyle went at it, but it was all for naught as the Sharks won to take the home-and-home series and hand the Pacific Division-leading Ducks a fourth straight loss. Check out the fight below:
The Ducks now travel to Chicago for a rematch against NHL point-leading Chicago on Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
