Condo Commando wins Big A's Busher Stakes
NEW YORK (AP) Heavily favored Condo Commando rolled to a 4 3/4-length victory Saturday in the $100,000 Busher Stakes for 3-year-old fillies as racing resumed at Aqueduct.
The 1-5 choice beat Paulassilverlining for her fourth victory in five starts. It was her first race since capturing the Demoiselle Stakes here in late November.
Junior Alvarado was aboard for trainer Rudy Rodriguez as Condo Commando set the pace, covering the 1 1-16 miles in 1:46.52 on the fast track.
''I thought she was a little bit better than these fillies,'' Rodriguez said. ''She did it very impressively.''
She paid $2.40, $2.10 and $2.10.
Paulassilverlining returned $2.90 and $2.50, and Sweet On Smokey paid $4.30 to show.
The Thursday and Friday cards were canceled due to wintery conditions in the New York area.
