Los Angeles Clippers forward Craig Smith will miss a minimum of two weeks due to a herniated disc in his lower back.

Smith received an epidural on Tuesday morning and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

In 24 games played this season, the fourth-year pro out of Boston College has averaged 5.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 13.8 minutes per contest, down from his 8.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 18.4 minute career average.

The 6-7, 265 pound Inglewood native is a former Fairfax High standout who carried the Lions to a 22-6 record and the City Section seminfinals in 2000-01.

Following a notable career at Boston College in which he finished ranked first on the Eagles' all-time rebounding list (1,114) and second in scoring (2, 349 points), Smith was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 36th pick in the 2006 draft.

In Minnesota, Smith averaged a career-high 10.1 points and 3.8 boards in 74 games.
