Cleveland Magic: Naquin delivers with inside-the-park walk off HR

Published Nov. 15, 2016 1:42 p.m. ET

Tyler Naquin's magical rookie season continued as he hit an inside-the-park walk off home run to give the Cleveland Indians a 3-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

It was a hotly contested pitcher's duel all game with Indians starter Trevor Bauer striking out a career-high 13. However, a first inning two-run home run given up to Russell Martin was still the play of the game - until the bottom of the ninth.

First, Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez belted a solo home run off of Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna to tie the game at two. The very next batter, Naquin, continued his Rookie of the Year campaign with a high fly ball hit to deep right field that hit off the top of the wall and rolled all the way back into the outfield. Naquin sprinted around the bases with his helmet flying off to score the first inside-the-park, walk-off home run hit by an Indians player since August 13, 1916, when Braggo Roth did it against St. Louis.

To add to the magical story, LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar and 2016 NBA Finals MVP, was in attendance at the game and witnessed yet another Cleveland comeback.

The magic continues for Cleveland in 2016.
