Chipper saves Freeman from snowstorm on four-wheeler
Like so many in metro Atlanta, the Braves' Freddie Freeman was stuck in traffic as a winter storm crippled the area.
But unlike those other victims of the weather -- which continued to be a problem into Wednesday morning as many area highways were full of cars, some of which were stranded -- the first baseman had a savior in the form of future Hall of Famer Chipper Jones.
Freeman tweeted that he was closing in on 5 1/2 hours in his car, but he wouldn't be there much longer as he was rescued by Jones on his four-wheeler.
After 11 hours and an unexpected assist from his former teammate, Freeman was back home.
Freeman and Jones' girlfriend, Taylor Higgins, helped document the entire operation.
