KAZAN, Russia (AP) China missed out on sweeping the diving gold medals at the world aquatics championships when Tania Cagnotto of Italy won the women's one-meter springboard on Tuesday.
Cagnotto led from the start, and held on through all five rounds for a winning score of 310.85 points, beating Shi Tingmao of China by 1.65 points.
The bronze medal went to another Chinese diver; He Zi scored 300.30.
China won all five previous finals at the championships in Kazan.

China is the dominant power in diving and has topped the medal table at every Olympic Games and worlds since 2000.
The team's only worlds gold-medal sweep was in 2011. In Barcelona two years ago, a single German victory denied China a sweep.
