Cavs Report: Hayward meeting with team, 'lucrative' offer coming?
The Cavaliers are meeting with Utah Jazz free agent Gordon Hayward in Cleveland on Wednesday, a source told FOX Sports Ohio.
Yahoo Sports columnist and FOX Sports 1 insider Adrian Wojarnowski reported news of the meeting first, and wrote that the Cavs are expected to make a "lucrative, multi-year" offer.
CBS Sports reported the offer as a four-year deal worth $63 million. It would start at $14.8 million, according to the report.
Sources told FOX Sports Ohio on Tuesday the Cavs were meeting with a "name player." It is unclear if that player was Hayward or someone else.
Hayward, 24, is a restricted free agent, meaning the Jazz could match any offer and retain him. The 6-foot-8 swingman has spent all four of his NBA seasons in Utah, and is coming off a season in which he averaged career-highs in points (16.2 per game), rebounds (5.1) and assists (5.2). He did, however, shoot a career-low 41 percent from the field, including a career-low 30 percent on 3-pointers.

Hayward earned in the vicinity of $3.5 million last season. The Jazz intend to match any free offer for Hayward, sources told FOX Sports Ohio on Wednesday.
According to the Yahoo story, Cavs owner Dan Gilbert is not expected to be present at the meeting between the Cavs and Hayward.
Jack to Nets?
The Cavs and Brooklyn Nets have recently discussed a potential trade of point guard Jarrett Jack for shooting guard Marcus Thornton, according to multiple reports, and those discussions are likely to be revisited, sources said.
The Nets are seeking a backup point guard after Shaun Livingston agreed to a free-agent contract with the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
The Sacramento Kings are also said to be interested in Jack, who averaged 9.5 points and 4.1 assists in 80 games with the Cavs last season. However, sources said the Kings will wait to see what happens with free-agent point guard Isaiah Thomas before pursuing Jack.
Thornton, 27, is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard and was traded from the Kings to the Nets in February. He is due to make $8.5 million next season.
Jack, who turns 31 years old in October, has two years left on a contract that pays him $6.3 million in each.
Waiters on block?
Cavs guard Dion Waiters has said he thinks there's a strong possibility he'll get traded, a source close to him told FOX Sports Ohio.
It is not believed the Cavs are actively shopping Waiters, but interest around the league is clearly high. One team with a top-10 pick approached the Cavs about Waiters prior to the draft, sources said.
With the Cavs viewing No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins as mostly a shooting guard, the possibility exists that Waiters could be dealt before the season.
Humphries on radar?
The Cavs may have an interest in unrestricted free agent Kris Humphries, a source told FOX Sports Ohio.
Humphries, 28, spent last season in Boston. He averaged 8.4 points and 5.9 rebounds off the bench.
It is believed if the Cavs were to pursue Humphries it wouldn't be until later in free agency, well after the July 10 moratorium in which players can officially sign.
