Cavaliers (8-28) vs. Hawks (20-13)

OPENING TIP
All the news surrounding the Cavaliers, obviously, is the fact center Anderson Varejao will miss another six to eight weeks following surgery to repair what the team is classifying as a “split” to a leg muscle near his knee. The surgery is scheduled for Thursday. Meanwhile, the Hawks have their own problems, rolling into town with a three-game losing streak. That includes Tuesday’s loss at Minnesota – snapping the Hawks’ 11-game winning streak vs. the T-Wolves.
Venue: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland.
TV/Radio: 7 p.m. FOX Sports Ohio/WTAM
All-Time Series: Hawks lead, 110-94.

Pregame notes:
• Miles (back spasms) and Daniel Gibson (concussion) are game-time decisions, coach Byron Scott said at shootaround Wednesday. If Miles can’t go, Dion Waiters is likely to be moved back into the starting lineup.
• Both Devin Harris (foot) and Anthony Morrow (hip) are questionable. Neither played last night.
• The teams split their two games earlier this season, with each winning on the other’s home floor. They meet again April 1 in Atlanta.
• The Hawks are 7-2 on the second night of back-to-backs.
