Inside linebacker Daryl Washington was the Cardinals' only representative on the Associated Press All-Pro team, which was announced Saturday.

Washington, in his third year, was named to the second team. The 26-year-old was one of 17 first-time honorees on the All-Pro team, which was headlined by unanimous selections Adrian Peterson of the Vikings and J.J. Watt of the Texans.

A 2009 second-round pick out of TCU, Washington led the Cardinals with 134 tackles, nine sacks and eight tackles for loss in 2012, just missing out on becoming the fourth linebacker in NFL history with 100 or more tackles and 10 or more sacks in the same season.

Despite the All-Pro recognition, Washington was not voted to the Pro Bowl this year, with 49ers inside linebackers and All-Pro first-team selections Patrick Willis and NaVorro Bowman getting the nod.

Before the season, the Cardinals signed Washington to a long-term deal that will keep him in Arizona through 2017.
