The picture may be more visually stunning than the video.

Now consider the video of University of Connecticut defensive back prospect Byron Jones' incredible jump:

Jones registered the 12-foot, 3-inches broad jump (aka standing long jump) at the NFL Combine on Monday, which is eight inches better than the previous record of 11 feet, 7 inches by Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins in 2013. In fact, it's not only an NFL Combine record:

The modern-day world record belongs (or belonged) to Norwegian Arne Tvervaag, who leaped 12.17 feet in 1968.

The 6-foot-1, 199-pound Jones also notched the second-best vertical jump with 44.5 inches, second only to Georgia's Chris Conley, who reached 45 inches. And oh, by the way, Jones is still recovering from surgery to fix a torn labrum, which kept him from running the 40-yard dash.
