TAMPA, Fla. — It's little surprise, but Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Carolina Panthers.
Martin, 24, tore the labrum in his left shoulder in a loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, as reported by FOX Sports NFL Insider Mike Garafolo. Bucs coach Greg Schiano said on Monday it would be "a stretch" to see the Pro Bowl running back play in the Week 8 matchup at Raymond James Stadium.
Running back Jeff Demps (groin) and guard Carl Nicks (foot) are also ruled out. Safety Dashon Goldson (knee) and wide receivers Mike Williams (hamstring) and Chris Owusu (foot) are questionable.
