Buckeye freshman sorry for postgame tweet
Not everyone on sixth-ranked Ohio State was happy with the Buckeyes' bounce-back win at Minnesota on Tuesday night.
Shortly after the Buckeyes' 78-68 win, freshman LaQuinton Ross, who didn't play, tweeted "I don't know how much longer I can take this BULL****!!!!!"
The tweet was subsequently deleted and Ross later posted: "I let my emotions get the best of me!!! I want to apologize to #buckeyenation that should have been something I took up with my coaches!!"
Ross, rated by Scout.com as the 44th-best recruit in the class of 2011, has played only 26 minutes in six games. Ross enrolled in September but was ruled academically ineligible shortly after. He returned home to Mississippi to fulfill his missing academic requirement, retook the SAT and rejoined the team after the fall quarter when the NCAA restored his eligibility. He made his season debut Dec. 22.
