BEREA, Ohio -- Running back Willis McGahee was conspicuously on the sideline during the portion of practice open to the media. He rode the stationary bike and then worked with trainers doing various drills.

Rob Chudzinski wasn't available to the media on Thursday, but team spokesman Zac Gilbert explained McGahee's situation in a text. He said there was no new injury with McGahee.

"Part of keeping him in top shape for games."

McGahee, who turns 32 on Oct. 21,; missed practice as part of a planned schedule to rest his knee, which underwent surgery last November after injuring it in a game for the Broncos.

He is expected to be on the injury report for the rest of the season.

Since signing with the Browns on Sept. 19, he has appeared in four games with 164 yards on 59 rushes and a touchdown. He has one reception for two yards.
