Browns go big with Taylor
The Browns waited, and then went big. Very big.
The Browns' second trade of the night brings them their first player, Baylor defensive tackle Phil Taylor.
He's listed at 6'3, 334 pounds. The Browns clearly plan to build from the inside out and rebuild the trenches.
They cut Shaun Rogers in February and tonight drafted a guy who looks and plays a little bit like him. Taylor started his college career at Penn State before transferring to Baylor to play his final two years. He was arrested for assault at Penn State but never charged. He transferred and became a one-year wonder of sorts as he was named second team All-Big 12 last fall.
The Browns traded 27th pick and a third-round pick (no. 70) to Kansas City to move up to No. 21 and take Taylor.
