Braves' Gonzalez has concrete block broken on his chest

It's been an interesting week for Fredi Gonzalez.
One day after he was ejected from the first inning of an exhibition game against the Yankees, the Braves manager had a concrete block broken on his chest by motivational speaker Donnie Moore.
"We talked and he asked me to do it and he goes 'You have to trust me' and I said 'Well, I trust you,'" Gonzalez told Braves.com.
Moore visited with the team Saturday and during one of his exercises, he had Gonzalez lie on a bed of concrete blocks. Moore then used a sledgehammer to break the block that was resting on the manager.
"He had done it before and he knew what he was doing. I think the last thing in his mind was to hurt somebody," Gonzalez said. "At the end of the day, if he's going to hurt somebody, I'd rather him hurt me than one of the players."
The speaker also cracked three bats, ran through a pair of 2x4s and tore phone books in half, all with the emphasis of strengthening the mindset of a team that isn't expected to contend in the National League East.
