The Atlanta Braves squeezed in one more sequence of roster moves on Wednesday, just hours after completing a six-player trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Third baseman Chris Johnson, who was on the disabled list with a hand injury, was activated in time for Atlanta's series finale with Los Angeles. He even had a pinch-hit outing in the 9th (an infield groundout).
With the vacant spot on the roster -- thanks to the Alberto Callaspo/Eric Stults/Ian Thomas trade with the Dodgers -- the Braves called up reliever Donnie Veal.

Through 44 at-bats this season, Johnson has a .278 batting average and .347 on-base percentage.
With Triple-A Gwinnett this year, Veal (2-0) hadn't allowed an earned run through 16 innings.
