Braun slips to fourth among NL outfielders

After initially ranking among the top three in All-Star voting for National League outfielders, Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun slipped to fourth place in the latest voting update, behind Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera, who overtook him for the third spot.

At time of the latest update, Braun, who started the last four All-Star games for the NL squad, trailed Cabrera by 25,182 votes and also ranked behind Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp and Cardinals outfielder Carlos Beltran. Braun is currently tied for the NL lead in home runs with Beltran (19) and ranks third in slugging percentage (.612) and RBI (48).

Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks and catcher Jonathan Lucroy also finished in the top five for voting at their respective positions.

Voting at Miller Park for the All-Star game ends on Tuesday night, while online voting continues with Thursday, June 28.
