Blues top Blackhawks 2-1 in final preseason tune-up

In St. Louis, Alex Pietrangelo scored early in the third period to lift the Blues over the Chicago Blackhawks 2-1.

Vladimir Tarasenko got his second goal of the preseason in the first period for the Blues. Carter Hutton stopped 11 of 12 shots in two periods for St. Louis, and Jake Allen stopped all six shots he faced.

Dennis Rasmussen scored for Chicago to make it 1-1 early in the second. Corey Crawford stopped 19 shots.
